Today we start our sailing trip. Our flight is from Zurich direct to Bodrum, so we don’t have to change the plane. In the evening we should be at the huge harbor in Bodrum. I hope our rented yacht is in a good condition =).

At the moment the wind speed is perfect because of the Meltemi wind. Last time we had bad luck with the wind, because most of the days we had not enough wind.

Our yacht ( Bavaria 39 Cruiser):

• Fuel tank: 210 l
• Water tank: 360 l

Hopefully I can write sometimes a new post with news about our trip. If I can find a open wireless network =), I will update this blog. Otherwise you can read everything about it when I’m back. Especially the pictures will be on this blog if I’m back, because the traffic over the mobile phone or a wireless network can be really expensive.

For everyone who likes to read stories about sailing around the world I have a new blog for you. This turn will start on March 2008. However you can start reading right now, because they already wrote a lot of stuff. First of all they introduce their boat (”Wombat”) and you can see the route on a map.

It’s great to be a part of such a great journey, even though we can only read the adventures.

The start point of our first sailing trip was a small harbor close to Marmaris. The harbor was part of a hotel and a the nature was lovely. However in this post I don’t want to write a lot, I just want to give you chance to see the pretty of a sailing trip.
